Assistant — overview

The Assistant is not an item in the left menu. It lives in the status bar at the bottom of the window and is available from every section.

Its button carries the state itself: a “needs attention: N” badge, a dot for “there are decisions waiting for you”, a recording indicator and a processing indicator.

Next to it in the status bar: the clock, sync status with the last sync time, back and forward navigation, the recording indicator, the agent’s background task counter, the agent chats indicator (“Working: N · Waiting for you: N”) and the web agent indicator.

Clicking opens the side panel. It has three modes, switched at the top: Ask, Record, Feed.

The panel also shows running background jobs and model downloads with progress — so “the app is doing something” doesn’t look like a freeze.
