Smart Hub — triaging the inbox
Smart Hub is a block above the list answering the question “what here is about me”. Sections collapse and each header carries a count.
Needs attention
Section titled “Needs attention”Messages with the reason they are here:
- urgent — needs immediate attention;
- requires your action;
- contains a question awaiting an answer;
- a request that needs your reaction;
- high priority;
- a financial document — check the amount and details;
- you are waiting for a reply to this message;
- you marked it important yourself.
The actions depend on the meaning: reply, create a task, add as expense or as income, track a subscription, create a meeting, respond to the invitation, review. Housekeeping ones: read, archive, delete, star, and for messages awaiting a reply — “No reply needed”.
Deleting and “no reply needed” run with an undo: the card disappears at once and a toast offers to bring it back — the operation rolls back entirely, including restoring the message from trash.
Finance
Section titled “Finance”Messages with receipts, invoices and charges — with “add as expense”, “as income”, “track a subscription”.
Reminders
Section titled “Reminders”Reminders on messages, with “Done” and “Dismiss”.
Starred
Section titled “Starred”Starred messages, up to ten cards.
Behavioural learning
Section titled “Behavioural learning”Under “Needs attention” a strip may appear: “N messages hidden by learning” with “Show” and “Configure”.
Smart Hub watches what you do and proposes rules:
- “you deleted N messages from this domain unread” → hide the domain;
- “you deleted N but sometimes open them” → create a category.
Any proposal can be turned down with “Don’t suggest”. Sensitivity, the hidden domain list and resetting the learning live in Settings → General.
Meeting invitations
Section titled “Meeting invitations”Participant responses gather into one card: who accepted, declined, is tentative, proposed a new time, delegated, and whether the meeting was cancelled. The organiser, the delegate and related messages are visible — instead of a scattering of identical notifications.
