Meeting minutes

Record the conversation — Yttri transcribes it and saves a summary as its own note. Then ask the agent to work through it: it pulls out decisions and open questions and proposes tasks with owners. You confirm each one.

The links survive: the task remembers the meeting, the meeting remembers its participants, the note remembers both.

Answers from your own base

Ask the agent “what did we decide about X” or “when did we discuss Y”. It searches by meaning rather than exact match and answers with links to specific notes. You can open the link and check for yourself — that matters more than a smooth phrasing.

A knowledge base out of scattered notes

Write however you like, without designing a hierarchy up front. Links appear two ways: by hand through [[wiki links]], and automatically from extracted concepts. The graph then shows what is actually connected, not what you intended to connect.

Quick thoughts

For short captures there’s a sticky board: a thought is recorded in one step, with no collection or title to pick. A sticky is still a note, so it goes into search and is available to the agent.

Calculations and diagrams inside a note

A simple table is fine for “compare three options”. When you need formulas, insert a .ytable: a real spreadsheet as its own file next to the note, leaving a reference and a preview in the text.

Diagrams — Mermaid, PlantUML, BPMN and mind maps — are written as text and rendered for you. When text is awkward there’s Excalidraw: a freehand drawing, also a file in the bundle.

Everything stored as a file travels with the note and doesn’t break when copied.

Working from outside

Notes are ordinary Markdown files, so you can edit them elsewhere, put them in git or sync them with a cloud service. Yttri picks the changes up and reindexes.
