Video meetings

Yttri runs video meetings itself, with no external service. The VIDEO CALLS group in the calendar sidebar splits into a quick meeting, active, upcoming and past.

One menu item and you are in the room. If your session is already running the button returns you to it; otherwise a draft is created, and the real meeting record and public link appear on the first actual connection.

  • Active — calls happening right now: “Join”, “Copy invitation” (the text with the name, the link and — if you own a password-protected meeting — the password itself) and “Access settings” for the owner.
  • Upcoming — scheduled meetings by nearest time.
  • Past — view only; “Open materials” leads to the meeting page.

The access dialog offers entry by link or by password. The password has a length limit and no control characters; the counter turns red on an error.

Before joining you get a camera and microphone preview:

  • microphone and camera — the button toggles, the arrow next to it lists devices (the first entry is the system default);
  • speakers — the output device list, when the engine supports choosing one;
  • screen sharing — the source can be picked in advance, before joining;
  • settings (the gear) — access and moderation, owner only;
  • Join. If another call is already active, the app asks whether to end it.

The bottom bar: microphone, camera, speakers; participants with a counter and, for the host, the number of screen-share requests; chat with an unread counter; the meeting assistant panel; screen sharing; copy link; meeting settings; leave.

If you are not allowed to share, the share button sends a request to the host and locks until it is answered.

The host’s per-participant menu (⋮): open and close the stage, mute, ask to unmute, block the microphone, allow or forbid sharing.

Moderation in the meeting settings:

  • webinar mode — participants’ microphones are off and the host opens the stage; the buttons “Open the stage for everyone” and “Close the stage” appear in this mode;
  • screen sharing by participants — when off, requests gather in a “Screen share requests” block with Allow and Decline.

Moderation changes take effect immediately.

Switching to another section of the app folds the call into a floating mini-window with its own microphone, camera, expand and leave buttons.

A finished meeting’s page shows the summary of the linked recording, the meeting chat, tags and a Materials block with links to the recording and the note. If the copilot was running during the call, there is also a Meeting assistant button that opens the conversation from that meeting.

A separate MTS Link setup dialog is configured once per Exchange account: a link to the personal cabinet that issues an API key, the key field and Save; once a key exists — Replace, Delete API key, and a re-check of its validity.

Only then does the “MTS Link” provider become available in the meeting form, with its own settings: a waiting room, a password, and participants’ rights to the microphone, camera and chat.
